Okay well we just got royally screwed by those filthy, scum, liars at Avis Camper in Dormeletto, Italy!

The camper we rented in Italy had some damage on it including a broken mirror on the right side before we rented it. In fact they hit whatever it was and took it down the whole right side. It was so bad we had to duct tape it so it wouldn't blow off. So we just got the bill for that piece of crap and they charged us for $1700 in damages. I have been arguing with the one person who speaks any English but that doesn't seem to have gotten me anywhere since they charged me and haven't written back since then. From what I can tell the gratutitous use of Duct Tape is a sign of admission in the Italian legal system.

Ok so I should have documented the damage before we left, but how do you say "f'd up side mirror" and "shiffy driver" in Italian. It was raining and I had just landed after an all night 12 hour flight, so my Italian was a little rough. It isn't like I dealt with different people either. The same two Aye-Ties that I picked it up from are the same two I dropped it off too. I explained to them why I put the duct tape on but evidently that was my confession.

So I am open to suggestions. Do you know any good Italian Lawyers? I think it is cheaper to do a hate campaign. Hmmm...
